In conjunction with the REST API, Scrive provides an alternative method for connecting to the eID Hub: OpenID Connect. This protocol offers a standardised approach, streamlining your integration process and reducing development time. There are no extra costs associated with using OpenID Connect with Scrive.

OIDC certification

The eID Hub is OpenID Connect certified. This certification confirms that the eID Hub has passed rigorous automated tests, ensuring alignment with the specified conformance profile of the OpenID Connect protocol. Endorsed by the OpenID Foundation, the certification validates alignment with industry standards, elevates security measures, promotes interoperability, and provides confidence in the robustness of the authentication and identity management capabilities.

Setting up a client account

To use eID Hub with OpenID Connect you need to request a client account from Scrive.

The following details are needed to set up an account:

• The name of the company.
• The eID providers to enable.
• A redirect-URI.
